There is a new formula of OxyContin called Remoxy, which will make the OxyContin tablet sticky and difficult to crush (so it can't be snorted or injected.) The strong and potent pain medication was developed originally to deliver medication gradually over many hours, providing long lasting painlessness to people with moderate to severe pain, such as cancer patients. But, some people take the drug via illicit methods in order to use Oxycontin as a recreational drug. This new version of OxyContin will almost eliminate abuse of this drug.
But, now that people won't be able to get their instant high and gratification. More pills will be taken orally; making chances of overdose higher. The pill might be less desirable to those who seek it for injection and snorting.

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. Im not sure whether to feel happy or a bit concerned. Obviously drug use is never a positive thing, but thats besides the point. Abuse of any drug is something that is definatly a positive if eliminated or decreased.
