Should someone who has had a loving relationship with an animal slaughter it for food? Sure we eat beef, pork, chicken, and fish everyday, but we didn't have a relationship or connection with the animal we're eating. I want to know how a person could live with eating their own pet that they've had many memories with. In many countries, eating dogs is a delicacy, who here would want to slaughter their pet dog for a meal? Didn't think so. Many people have no problem going out in the woods and shooting a white-tailed deer for dinner the next week. Other people have had family farms where they own chickens, and pigs. But you don't have a relationship with a chicken as you do a dog. It's just how it is. If eating dogs, pet fish, cats, or horses were normal here, who would eat their own pet?
